Hi Renee,
Working at EPFL in Switzerland, I have many contacts with these types of organization. You could contact me if you need more information or internal contacts about these organizations. Being in the french part of Switzerland, majority of these sites/peoples communicate only in french.

Objet : [Geowanking] Research on governance and the geoweb
Hi Everyone,
I, at McGill U, and some guys at UCL and Nottingham are trying to
conduct research into why and how governments (municipal, national,
agencies, public private partnerships) are developing geoweb
applications. But we need some best practices cases. So can you point us
to exemplary government users/developers of geolocational apps, be it
on Google Earth, Flickr, iPhone, Twitter, Maker!, OSM, OpenLayers, etc.?
I myself am more interested in the subnational so if you know of a city
or an agency (e..g, a state Forest Service) is developing these apps,
that'd be cool.
I'd be more than happy to share results, interview instruments, etc.
thanks,
Renee
