I got word from our guy spearheading this thing that:

The OGC motion “To Approve GeoPDF 2.2 [OGC 08-139r1] as an OGC Best Practice document” officially closed today (5 Feb) with a status of “Approved”.

... so this is very hot off of the press. We secured enough votes yesterday.
