First reaction - the bastards etc. etc. etc.

Second reaction - it makes precisely 0 difference to OSM and the like.  
What's the best outcome for Google? They get a full map of the entire  
world and it hasn't cost them a penny. Lovely for them, but by  
analogy: the Ordnance Survey has a better-than-full map of Britain, it  
hasn't really cost them a penny either (yay for Government lock-in),  
and yet OSM is still enormously valid in Britain.
