I'm fairly new to the list and was going back through the archives to see if
anything caught my eye. A Sept '07 discussion that started with a story on
the US military giving up its right to turn off fairly accurate GPS signals
(not a chance in my opinion despite what they say) then branched into talk
of ground based GPS alternatives.
Thought I'd mention the work of an Australian outfit called Locata Corp
which have been doing work in this area for a number of years. More info at
http://www.gmat.unsw.edu.au/snap/publications/barnes_etal2003a.pdf . They
keep a very low profile and part of the reason why I'm posting about this is
to ask if anybody has any further info on these guys or similar?
