and note your mother may be smarter then me.

I'm working on a mapping project where their is a google or other map
but also I would like to create a route, similar to a NYC subway
route, a straight line with a icon for separate locations on the
"line" which when clicked on or rolled over would be able to show more
information. I would like this route to be able to display a map
between the two points clicked on the route.

has anyone done this? if so, any url's you can share.

does anyone do this for a living as is available to put a demo
together of this for me/
