[Geowanking] Opinions about GeoServer

It seems like MapServer would be a decent fit for this.  You could use
layers in different projections.  Ffor your queries, just craft URL query
strings to send to CGI MapServer.  Using query templates, you could output
the results in html, delimited text, XML, json, etc.
