I have extended the feedcreator class from here:
to be able to output GeoRSS (amongst a number of different fields - even KML
for Google Earth, with just a change of the format param!)
See the forum post I made on the creators Forum:
which includes example code on how to use it.
There is a also the link there to reach the latest version from our CVS...

Does anyone have PHP code for generating GeoRSS from MySQL data? I
definitely don't want to reinvent the wheel.
Basically, trying to convert shelters.org (the Homeless Shelters link)
into map form....
I'm not yet sure of the best way to do that.
Here's a start, but really want a bunch of shelters on the map, and
not just one...
