[Geowanking] micro and 'internal' spatial modelling and 3D

If i were to model objects and events within a room with infinite
precision, how would i go about spatialising them?

This is partly a followup to Allan's comment about the need for finer
grained addressing schemes. Latitudes and Longitudes in some way seem
inappropriate for small and relative models that can be self-contained.

An internal grid system anchored to a point expressed in wgs84 at 0,0,0?
On this list anselm has talked of,

when we start to do rdf3d type things; transporting 3d models of buildings
or joint limits on a digital puppet or any of the kinds of future uses
 we can imagine for RDF?[0]

Does KML have 'true 3D' in it? does GML have a 3D capacity? I only see
hints that it might be made to. is X3D not really alive?
