Thank you! At least now I know I'm after the right data.
I just received an answer from the people at geobase. It seems that
the best they can do is what they have now... a set separated in some
25,000+ smaller files (if my quick count is correct). I was told that
they are all genereated on the fly, so it seems absurd that they
wouldn't be able to generate just one big file. It's "free" all right,
but we still have to work for it :)
I can't spend the time learning how to script all of that right now,
nor do I have the server space for all of the files. If I get to it
before others, I'll post a torrent file to the list. (Wouldn't a web
service handle most of the uses we could have for this data?)
