[Geowanking] use of CS code

Hell list,

I notice some discrepancy in the colourful patchwork of IP -> country
software over CS. Some say it now means Serbia and Montenegro. Others
think it means the former Czecheslovakia. What's the list's opinion?

Also, I have long believed that mapping IPs to 3rd world countries is more
accurate than mapping them to western countries. This is because when I
run comparisons between packages the discrepancies are almost always EU /
North America related, and because one would imagine that the IP
distribution situation in countries with often only 1 or a few ISPs is
generally tidier. But can anyone corroborate this?

Finally.... Over the years I notice traceroute degrading, as more and more
nodes appear to refuse to reply usefuly to ping requests. Does this annoy
anyone else?

Bye!

Jon
