you might Ultimate Symbol
http://www.ultimatesymbol.com/products/overview.php?cid=3  All of their
symbols are available in Illustrator / EPS format which can be easily
converted to SVG.

The most useful collection for you is probably the one on Official Signs &
Icons.  They're not free, but could save you lots of time.
