[Geowanking] homemade maps using GPS

I've known about GPSdrawing for a while, but I had only mostly seen more
whimsical drawings. Someone made a nice map of part of Detroit:

(Does anyone know if there are lots of skyscrapers in that area? There's
no markers or anything so I can't tell. I've wanted to do something
similar for NYC but I've been under the impression that GPS doesn't work
very well in these urban canyons.)
