Anyone have any experience with BuddySpace?

If I am reading it right, it's a Jabber (IM)
client which allows you to set up arbitrary maps
(.bmp, .jpeg).  When setting it up, you give
it your lon/lat.  Users on your buddy list
are indicated on the maps when they're online,
and are clickable.

(anything like this in IRC space?)
