Thanks for the list invite Peter & Joshua.

I wrote up the idea of ThereThen addresses
at http://ThereAndThen.org (this is more
for the archives, I am aware you already know this :-)

I'm bringing daniel.org up to speed, after having
neglected it for many years, and started a blog at
JavaJoint.com.

My interest in searching by location and time grows
out of a photo database project (Apache/MySQL/PHP)
I am developing.

I'm not familiar with GIS stuff in general, so one of
my questions these days would be "how do find the long/lat of
the four corners around a centered point, say for a 10x10
mile square?"  (in other words, algorithm for "locations nearby",
and knowing that the corners are actually 7.07 miles
from the center... 45/45/90...)
